How to rename files on a Chromebook

This is a simple one.

Simply hold the Alt key and click the trackpad/mouse when you're hovering over the file you want to rename. This brings up a file menu with options, one of which is 'Rename'.

As the menu hint suggests, to rename a file you can also click once on the file in the Files window, then hold Ctrl+enter.

  2. The command is not available when multiple items are selected. Is there no renaming for multiple items? That is insane!

  3. Yes, it is Insane! I take photos for a living. Sometimes 1000 per day. There is no way I am going to rename that many photos I photo at a time. If there isn't a way around this, than sorry Google. This Chromebook is going back. I will have to purchase a new PC instead.
